An Impression of Roses, as a Thank you!

Rose of all Roses, Rose of all the World!
You, too, have come where the dim tides are hurled
Upon the wharves of sorrow, and heard ring
The bell that calls us on; the sweet far thing.

It takes your eyes to see, your heart to feel, and your soul to express.

How it grows
And by the end of the day
When her rose’s flowers’d close
And its head would sway
In the wind, Rose would say:
“My rose, as you rose
In the light of the day
Did you notice those,
The sounds of your stay?
Not only those of the day,
But, too, the ones of the dark, rose,
The ones of the dark and the moon in its pose.
Did you notice those, rose?
Did you notice those? ”
And the rose would know
What Rose would want to say
And it would sleep
With its flowers of the lightest rosé.

To Eduardo Amorim,

"We and the cosmos are one. The cosmos is a vast body, of which we are still parts. The sun is a great heart whose tremors run through our smallest veins. The moon is a great gleaming nerve-centre from which we quiver forever. Who knows the power that Saturn has over us or Venus? But it is a vital power, rippling exquisitely through us all the time. Now all this is literally true, as men knew in the great past, and as they will know again."

Children come into this world with a clean slate like a chalkboard and it is their parents that write upon their chalkboard. What they learn in their first 6 years of life stays with them through adulthood.

My love for children is so great that I am a magnet when I am in a public place and there are children around, even babies, infants, toddlers, and teenagers. They look directly at me and smile, saying "Hello" in their own way. It is a gift and a blessing from God to have such a strong connection, no words are needed. Love is unconditional and it is universal therefore, it is understood.

Pais, padres, fathers...

Fathers are wonderful people Too little understood,
And we do not sing their praises
As often as we should.

For, somehow, Father seems to be
The man who pays the bills,
While Mother binds up little hurts
And nurses all our ills.

And Father struggles daily
To live up to "his image"
As protector and provider
And "hero of the scrimmage".

And perhaps that is the reason
We sometimes get the notion,
That Fathers are not subject
To the thing we call emotion,

But if you look inside Dad's heart,
Where no one else can see
You'll find he's sentimental
And as "soft" as he can be.

But he's so busy every day
In the grueling race of life,
He leaves the sentimental stuff
To his partner and his wife.

But Fathers are just wonderful
In a million different ways,
And they merit loving compliments
And accolades of praise,

For the only reason Dad aspires
To fortune and success
Is to make the family proud of him
And to bring them happiness.

And like Our Heavenly Father,
He's a guardian and a guide,
Someone that we can count on
To be always on our side.

we travel through clouds on a bright sunny day
climbing up high, above 5000 feet
the wind rushing past us and cooling the heat

"Stand by, engines cut",
we hear someone shout
as you slide to the back
and hear "ready? feet out"

Sheer terror, blood curdling
a hair-raising site
a spine chilling view
at incredible height

"Head up" as you push yourself into the sky
a monsoon of wind carries you as you fly
One thousand, Two thousand, Three thousand four...
the canopy opens and you breath once more

Now pulling the toggles
checks left, right & flare
now your in control
you do as you dare

An unforeseen silence emerges swiftly
as you glide through the air
so amazed what you see

Acres of pasture stretches below
as you float to the ground, so gradual & slow
Excitement develops like never before
as you long in an instant, to Skydive once more

Thy shadow, Earth, from Pole to Central Sea,
Now steals along upon the Moon's meek shine
In even monochrome and curving line
Of imperturbable serenity.

How shall I link such sun-cast symmetry
With the torn troubled form I know as thine,
That profile, placid as a brow divine,
With continents of moil and misery?

And can immense Mortality but throw
So small a shade, and Heaven's high human scheme
Be hemmed within the coasts yon arc implies?

Is such the stellar gauge of earthly show,
Nation at war with nation, brains that teem,
Heroes, and women fairer than the skies?

An Impression of Roses, as a Thank you!

Nobody knows this little Rose by Emily Dickinson
Nobody knows this little Rose --
It might a pilgrim be
Did I not take it from the ways
And lift it up to thee.
Only a Bee will miss it --
Only a Butterfly,
Hastening from far journey --
On its breast to lie --
Only a Bird will wonder --
Only a Breeze will sigh --
Ah Little Rose -- how easy
For such as thee to die!
