07/14/2010 is the day the trolls took away our
freedom of speech by trashing and speaking ill of
our President of the United States of America and our
First Lady, Mrs. Michelle Obama.
Freedom isn't free. It comes with a heavy price.
Thank you dear trolls, you will never be forgotten for your
disservice to not only America but the world. These threads
were for the enjoyment and pleasure of everyone not just YOU.
Independence Day takes on a whole NEW meaning. You took
away all of OUR Independence here on the Official White House
Photostream. To the photographers, especially my friend,
Mr. Pete Souza, I wish you continued success during your journey
with President Barack Obama. May God Bless America.

Yup, I'd been waiting for the comment boxes to be closed for some time now.The inane squabbling and abuse was so dispiriting and annoying .Not many had any wish to comment on the actual photo or Mr Souza's expertise.It's sad that the few loonies have again spoilt it for many.Pity that the W.H. photostream couldn't just block the trolls, although the less abusive postings of a republican nature were sometimes illuminating.(you know the old adage- "hold your friends close ,but your enemies closer"?);-))
I have no allegiance to either side , but still ended up with an earful of abuse-usually from people whose grasp of their own language/grammar/spelling was tenuous at best.
